How to Reduce Stress During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a stage where mother will face many ups and down in the life. There is a lot of unexpected joy and challenge during pregnancy. Stress is one of the most common problems many pregnant mothers face during their pregnancy. The following are some ways to help mother to lessen stress or cope with stress better.

Keep a good physical health

Pregnant woman will need to exercises (e.g. walking, prenatal exercise, prenatal yoga etc.) to maintain good health. Doing house chores (e.g. cleaning, mopping, ironing etc.) will help to stimulate energy flow and increase the supply of oxygen and blood. Thus, doing exercise and house chore help mother to strengthen physical health, to relax and cope better with stress.


Balanced diet and enough rest
Eating and resting are important for pregnant mothers.  They need to take a balanced diet with sufficient nutrient for mother and baby.  They can consult dietitian to seek advice on the diet to tailor for the need and medical condition of mother. In addition, mothers needed to have enough rest so they can restore their energy.
